Astille is a high-end womenswear label for women who embrace tailoring and confidence. Effortlessly chic and with a certain je n’ais ce quoi, the emerging fashion label needed a brand identity that felt established and confidently portrayed its travel-inspired origins.
As with most fashion brand identities, this label needed to communicate the sophisticated, luxe offering without visually overwhelming photographic content. When designing this brand, it was also essential to create a visual system that could function flexibly and effectively with a small amount of imagery in the early days.
With collections inspired by exotic travel destinations, the brand identity centers around a spice-coloured palette that provides warmth in an often minimal luxury market. Hand-torn paper textures create depth alongside photographic content and provide adaptable consistency with each launching collection. The fully-custom letterforms of the logotype help the new label feel more established with high-end foil finishes adding a lush opulence to printed touch-points.

This brand was created as part of my role as designer at The New Garde, a full-service agency for the fashion industry (now closed).
Having Laura take on all of my branded work means she is constantly thinking about how everything fits together.
This has been instrumental in enabling me to have a unified brand, which is a challenge since I do so many different things across different platforms and offline channels!
